Online funnies

You may be aware of my current, rarely updated webcomic. Obviously, I am completely bereft of artistic ability which is why I’m happy to announce that my good buddy Forrest and I have recently created a webcomic that combines his aptitude for making things look cool and my talent for being a smartass. Check it out.

Cake in a cup

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

There’s this commercial that’s been playing on TV recently that includes, among other things, a hot girl dancing around with other hot girls while holding a tray of cupcakes. I don’t know why she’s holding the tray of cupcakes, but after the fifth time I saw it, I realized that I was ignoring the hot dancing girls and staring at the cupcakes.

I don’t know if this represents the next step in my evolution or if I just need to get out more. I do know that I would like a cupcake, though.

Kids these days

When I ride on the subway, I normally have my headphones on and listen to music on my iPod. Sometimes, though, I turn off the music but leave the headphones on to eavesdrop on conversations nearby. Yesterday, on a packed train, I heard this:

Woman 1: “So no one stood up and gave you their seat?”

Woman 2: “Not one. What is wrong with people today?”

“Everyone’s so selfish.”

“I know! Nobody is raised right these days.”

I got off at my stop and made my way down some stairs. At the bottom of the staircase was a woman struggling with a huge, heavy-looking bag. Some random guy ran down to the bottom of the stairs and proceeded to help her carry her bag back to the top.

Nice timing, random guy. Good job.
